    Jaipur: Established by the Kachwaha ruler Raja Sawai Jai Singh II, who lived from 1693-1743, Jaipur, or the Pink city, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Its beautiful buildings including the City Palace, Amer Fort and the landmark Hawa Mahal are truly worth seeing. Browsing through the markets in Jaipur, where skilled craftsmen display jewellery, paintings, carvings and colorful texiles, is an enjoyable experience for tourists.

    The 16th century capital of the Rathore Rajputs, Jodhpur is an island of marble palaces, and lies at the edge of the Thar Desert. Founded in 1459 A.D. by Suryavanshi Rao Jodha, chief of the Rathore clan, the city is flanked by the 15th century Mehrangarh Fort and the stately Palace of Umaid Bhawan. Nakki Lake is another place of tourist attraction in Mount Abu in Rajasthan. Being the only hill resort of Rajasthan, it is also traveled by the newly married couples in India, making it a popular honeymooner’s paradise.

    Famous for some remarkably carved Jain temples in amber stone; Ranakpur is one of the fine holy places of the Jain disciples. Situated 96 km from Udaipur, these temples were built in the reign of Rana Kumbha. The main shrine of the temple is the central ‘Chaumukha’ or four faced temple dedicated to Bhagwan Rishabdev, the first Jain Tirthankar. It has 80 domes and 20 halls supported by 1444 pillars.     Ranthambore Tour
    Situated 14 kms from Sawai Madhopur, Ranthambore National Park is one of India’s finest tiger reserves. Named after the Ranthambore Fort situated within its precincts, the park covers and area of 1300 sq kms and is abundant with animal as well as bird life. There are good chances to see the tiger here, but even if it doesn’t happen, it’s worth a visit for the scenery alone. The close view of wildlife in jeep and elephant safari or the high watchtowers makes your tour to Ranthambore National Park quite memorable.

Converted into a national park in 1982, it has a total area of 474 sq km. The beautiful Siliserh Lake running along the edge of the Park has a large number of crocodiles. The Bikaner city has five gates, palaces, forts and temples made of red and yellow sandstone. The traditional aura in the Bikaner is evident in its colourful bazaars and havelis. The Bikaner city is also home to the best riding camels in the world. The tourist destinations in Bikaner include the Lallgarh Palace; the red sandstone palace built by Maharaja Ganga Singh. The palace is also known for beautiful latticework and filigree work. A part of the palace is partially converted into a luxury hotel and the remaining part into a museum by the name of Shri Sadul Museum. The other must visits in the Bikaner city include Junagarh Fort, Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum and Jain Temples.
    Chittorgarh: This city is synonymous with bravery and sacrifice. Attacked thrice during its eventful history, Chittorgarh bears the scars of tremendous battles. The Victory Tower or Vijay Stambha in Chittorgarh celebrates a victory in 1440 of Kumbha, the ruler of Chittorgarh, over Mahmud Khalji the ruler of Malwa.
    Pushkar: The site of a famous camel and cattle fair in November every year, Pushkar consists of a collection of temples including a Brahma temple, built around the holy Pushkar Lake. Devotees bathe in the lake on the auspicious day of Karthik Purnima every year. The camel fair is a crowd puller with merchants, camel buyers and sellers, cultural performers and tourists coming together for a celebration in the desert. Ajmer: Located on the route to Pushkar, Ajmer is famous for the tomb or Dargah of the Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. People of all faiths come to his tomb to seek the saint’s blessings. The annual Urs or festival is an event observed with great fervour.
